Dan Shapiro has more than 20 years of experience in the race and sports betting industry and currently leads business and strategic partnership development efforts for Caesars Digital. Dan joined Caesars following Caesars Entertainment’s acquisition of William Hill in April 2021. Previously, Dan led business development for William Hill US following upon its entry into the U.S. market and was responsible for the deal with Monumental Sports & Entertainment that lead to William Hill opening the first sportsbook inside a professional sports venue at Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. Prior to joining William Hill, Dan was part of the original management team at Brandywine Bookmaking LLC d/b/a Lucky’s Race & Sports Book, a startup that began operating race and sports books in Nevada in 2008. Brandywine was one of three U.S. sports betting operators William Hill acquired in 2012. Dan holds a BS from Boston University and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
